Starfire Golf Club is a public golf club located in Scottsdale. Formally Scottsdale Country Club (and originally named Sundown Ranch Golf Club), the golf club consists of two courses - the 18-hole, par 70 The King Course, and the 9-hole par 28 Mulligan 9 Course. Starfire Golf Club recently underwent a significant renovation in the summer of 2018. The King Course was combined from the former 9-hole King and Hawk courses in this renovation. The Mulligan 9 was also reconfigured from the former 9-hole Squire Course. The original King and Squire courses opened in 1953 with the Sundown Ranch Golf Club and were designed by Joseph Mayo. In 1983 Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay completely redesigned the King and Squire courses and added the 9-hole Hawk course in 1988.
